End of Life Program
All programs are offered free of charge
End of Life visits- Every client and their family have a carefully selected team of qualified volunteers who are dedicated to “walking” with a client and their family through the end of life process. The Hospice Society volunteer visitors are available to follow clients from the time of diagnosis to their end of life; we also provide support for the family during and after the loss. Qualified volunteers are committed to providing confidential, compassionate care through active listening, assisting with navigating the system, and providing resource material where needed. Volunteer Visitors meet clients in their home, in the hospital, in extended care, or in residential facilities.
Vigil Service
When requested, qualified volunteers provide round the clock support for clients in their last hours of life (last 24 – 48 hours of life).
